ANKER
2021

ANKER - a site-specific sound installation and performance made for Økant performance festival.

ANKER is and original sound installation and performance made for “Den Grå hal” at Marstal, Ærø, a former shipyard, which is now used for a warehouse and workshop. With the work ANKER, a meeting between the hall's functional present and maritime past is created. A selection of industrial materials are transformed into scenographic, kinetic musical instruments that simulate the sound of the sea, ships, the harbor and the wind. With these, I perform a sensuous sound fiction in which the past unfolds as a surreal dream via the staged objects of the space.
